My How Things Have Changed!

Eastern Michigan Distributors Co. incorporated in 1954. In 1979, after a downturn in business, Mike Lueck Sr. took a risk and purchased the company from his employers. During the recession in the early 1980s,  Mike worked hard to bring the business back from the brink. Michael Lueck Jr. hired on in the late 1980s. He was key in continuing the progression of the family business. Since the business was growing, more members were needed to keep top-notch customer service. In the early 1990s, two more children, Jake and Diana, joined to follow in their father’s footsteps. After he graduated from law school in 1994, Michael Jr. moved on from the business to pursue his successful law career. In 2006, Mark, one of Mike Sr.’s grandsons, hired on to begin the third generation at the family business. In 1998, Eastern Michigan Distributors Co. added a new location in Southfield to widen our services to those on the west side of Metro Detroit.

Today, we are a thriving company in the heart of Metro Detroit and the surrounding areas. Our products and services have grown over the last 35 years to include shingles, commercial roll roofing, construction lumber, vinyl siding, gutters, and ice melting products. Recently, two more crane lift trucks were added to the fleet to make rooftop deliveries much easier. We can deliver onto structures up to 5 stories high. We supply contractors and home owners alike as well as homeowner associations, co-ops, commercial building companies, townhouses, and Weekend Warriors. Remodeling has become our specialty, but with new construction on the rise, Eastern Michigan Distributors Co. is your one stop shop for all your building needs. With over three generations in management, Eastern Michigan Distributors Co. lives up to our motto: “For better service, turn to Eastern!” We plan to continue providing our customers and employees with the utmost care. Four new employees have joined the Eastern family and two have been promoted to serve your building needs even further.
